Our Crazy World!

Every time you look at almost any statistic; - the economy, jobs, people, childlessness, inequality, low income families, homelessness, prison re-offending, drug deaths, gang wars …. And on … there is one overwhelming thought how the f’ck is it all so impossibly bad?

Ok, when we were young and had normal jobs with families and children, holidays, cars, there were many issues.  Still an underclass, still homelessness, crime, etc, but today with our immense technology and all the improvements over that time and now, generally better living standards, why are the statistics all going the wrong way? Why does everyone, everywhere feel hard done by?

Does anyone ever explain what is really going on?  Does anyone come up with a future scenario that works to improve this nonsense – no, never!

And, now we seem to be on the cusp of a new industrial revolution.  CST has just come up with the ‘killer app’ that will help all businesses across the world to significantly improve their efficiency – and over time, we can now all see that this will happen, and quite soon.  (see the i-Browser)

And the result will be reduced employment across the board.  It is no good anymore pretending that this is years away, or won’t happen, we are now on the cusp of this change. And it will only accelerate due to the way we organise our societies – businesses will need to move in the same direction or else they will become unprofitable and fail.

Surely, this is an opportunity for the human race?  But no, where are the pundits and economists and politicians providing a better view of the future – one driven by increasing efficiency? A future providing all of us with a richer view of the future, a future that enables us to do more with our lives due to these efficiency increases.

Ah, but you say, where are the jobs going to be for us?  Where are the opportunities for personal development?

These opportunities are not there because we do not want them to be there.

As a society, we choose to continue in this paradoxical world were we have the mega-rich deciding and influencing what we all think and do.

Why?  Because these people have a natural game plan.  They understand that to keep their heads far above ours, they must keep the rest of humanity locked down in the shit.

Let us get something crystal clear – with today’s technology, there is simply no way we should, as a society, feel or be worse off or have worse underlying issues - we had it better in the 1970’s.

This seems quite impossible, our societies must be twice as efficient in terms of work output now – automated factories, computers, internet, instant comms and now yes now AI that will soon be able to do many, many things for us. Who has nicked our money and resources?

With rising efficiencies across the board there is rising wealth for all of us across the board – yes we can choose to do less, but still produce more.  Perfect, that is exactly what we need to do so that our societies can afford to re-invent themselves, we can re-deploy our own resources and those of our society as a whole to improve our lot.

But how do we do this with zero leadership and zero help from the economists and the pundits who all live, (very well thank you), in the current economies. They ignore the mess that we have for very many people and zero future for many younger people.

And, of course, we do know where the savings, (from these 50 years worth of efficiencies), have actually gone.

The top 100 world richest people have about $5 Trillion between them.

How does this translate to the many people across the western world, (because this is mostly where their money has come directly from)?  500 million in europe, plus 350 million in the US, say another 200 million in the rest of the western economies., so just over a billion people.

That is approximately $5000 for each person.  Now, if we consider that this could have been invested in the welfare of these billion people for many years, then it is clear that just the wealth from these top 100 people provides for significant social change.  With this sort of money, if we had all invested $5000 in health and social care lifting people out from poverty and homelessness, better schools, improved infrastructure, better policing, improved rehabilitation for prisoners - by now we would have a significantly better society.  It's all been nicked your Honour.

Even in the UK alone, the top 1000 people own approximately £500 billion.  This is one third of the UK’s GDP – more than enough to get the UK’s growth going and the hugely important investments in education that would mean future generations are set up for whatever is thrown at them, including AI et al. with plenty left over for services like health-care.

Why do humans put up with this inequity that leads directly to their own effective slavery?

The next few years will see, right across western economies, a saving of at least 10% directly due to the efficiencies from AI.   This will arrise from all businesses and all government organisations as the AI systems improve and get deployed.

So, imagine, in three years time within the UK we shall have exactly the same resources as today - all the trained people plus infrastructure such as roads, railways, building, factories.    Yet, we will have released 10% more trained people to put to good use.

Forget money, forget budgets, forget complex economic theories, the simple fact is if we put these 10% additional trained people to useful work - it is bloody obvious that the UK has an enormous additional resource to use to solve our problems.

But where will this additional resource go?  The economists and the politicians are so far up their own arses they cannot see this simple equation.  You do not need a BA in economics to understand this would be a massive opportunity for the UK – but the stupid f’ckers cannot see past the end of their noses.

What will actually happen is - this resource will be completely wasted!

Where will this opportunity go? On unemployment costs, people taking lower paid unproductive jobs, higher welfare costs, and the rest going to pay the top 100 people in the world many more billions.  With the government, (god bless 'em), bleating on about rising costs and having LESS money to deal with the societal issues.

It is all simply f’ing unbelievable!

(Must be Friday night!)

It's all f ’ing Crazy

Nov 1st 2024

AI is going to give all of us about 10%
or more in the next three years

What will actually happen is this additional resource?

It will be completely wasted!
